Berlin-based composer, producer and sound designer Ben Lukas Boysen is thrilled to announce his new studio album Alta Ripa, set for release on November 29.

Boysen’s fourth studio album under his own name, Alta Ripa, is a nod to his beginnings as much as a hint to his future, and as a work, it’s almost contradictory in its boldness and humility. The album’s title is the original Roman name of Altrip, the town where Boysen grew up in.

On Alta Ripa and new single Quasar, he adds, "Alta Ripa is a love letter to my hometown, and a place and time I consider absolutely influential to who I am today. It was an era of discovery and learning, of coming of age and music made from synths and samplers. This album pays homage to those early days and goes back to my roots both musically and emotionally. ‘Quasar’ opens up this journey with lots of analogue warmth, digital friction, and hidden breaks."

This autumn Boysen will be touring with Kiasmos on selected European dates and their North American tour.
