Ryan Lee West aka Rival Consoles has shared a remix of Coda by celebrated UK producer, and long-time fan of West’s music, Loraine James. The remix originally made an appearance in Rival Consoles’ BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix broadcast in November last year. 

In July 2024 Kiasmos returned with their second album, II, to critical and fan acclaim. The album took Ólafur Arnalds and Janus Rasmussen across four continents over the next 18 months, playing to sold-out audiences. Now the duo have entrusted five artists to completely reimagine it.

II Reworked will be released on vinyl and CD on July 3rd, with a digital release following on August 7th. Kiasmos and Erased Tapes are partnering with selected independent record shops worldwide to invite fans to come and listen to the full album together the evening before the album’s physical release.

American composer, producer, and professor Tyondai Braxton announces today his new album Splayed Werks with the release of the track UnFS. The album is out on August 21 and marks his first full-length since the 2022 release of his symphonic work, Telekinesis. It reveals itself as unlike what came before, including 70+ minutes of pure electronics and sound design, comprising mostly sub-five minute tracks recorded in his home studio. 

Erased Tapes are proud to re-issue The Red Book by Penguin Cafe, with an expanded vinyl track list which now includes the digital-only “And Yet…” plus two tracks from the limited-edition Umbrella EP. This new edition will be available on limited translucent vinyl and CD, both with updated art from Studio Torsten Posselt utilising the original drawing from renowned British sculptor and Simon Jeffes’ partner Emily Young. The reissue will be released on June 19.

Tyondai Braxton is an American composer and producer of electronic and acoustic music, ranging from large-scale multimedia works, solo electronic pieces, compositions notated for small ensembles, to music for large orchestra, choir and electronics. With a life-long fascination for sound design and synthesis, his work is centered in the creation of vibrant multidimensional sound worlds imbued with a sense of story.

UK producer Ryan Lee West aka Rival Consoles returns Europe and North America this spring and summer for a run of live A/V shows in support of his latest album Landscape from Memory. 

Pakistani-American composer Qasim Naqvi follows up last year’s album, Endling, with its intended sequel, the 18-minute orchestral work God Docks at Death Harbor, out today. The work is performed by the BBC Concert Orchestra; it stands as the composer’s first orchestral release.

Peter Broderick presents new project The White Mages with debut album Ode to Final Fantasy. An album celebrating the music of the legendary Japanese video game series, with 11 new recordings of Broderick’s favourite songs, from the much-loved ‘Aerith’s Theme’ to deeper cuts such as ‘Hymn of the Fayth’ and ‘Eternity, Memory of Lightwaves’. The album is out March 20th on Erased Tapes Music, with first single ‘The Prelude’ out now.

Originally released in 2017 but has subsequently become “lost media”, Arthur’s Opinion is one of Peter Broderick’s most beloved songs, with fans messaging him to ask about it once it was taken down a few years ago.

Daniel Brandt, of lauded German electroacoustic outfit Brandt Brauer Frick, released his third solo album Without Us earlier this year to critical acclaim on Erased Tapes. The album is a multimedia project that clashes head on with the spiralling chaos of our times, which included an audiovisual cinema rave performance at London’s iconic Barbican.

American singer and storyteller Sheherazaad returns today with new single Gulukara (Songstress), featuring childhood friend and Kodaikanal-bred rapper Irfana. The song is a nocturnal hymn highlighting the historical confluence of sex work and female artistry.

Infinity Gradient is the grand collaboration from composer Tristan Perich and organist James McVinnie, set for release on 21 November. A remarkable work with few precedents, Infinity Gradient is a duet between two musical instruments, millennia apart in conception. An hour-long symphony in seven movements for organ and 100 speakers in 1-bit audio.
