The original score for female writer-director Aylin Tezel’s debut feature Falling Into Place will be released in full on Piano Day 2024 via Erased Tapes Music.
Ahead of its UK premiere this weekend on March 2 at Glasgow Film Festival, Erased Tapes Music has announced the release of the film’s original score by Grammy, Ivor Novello and Mercury Prize-nominated composer Jon Hopkins and German composer and sound designer Ben Lukas Boysen, featuring performances by pianist Lisa Morgenstern and cellist Anne Müller.
Today we share Boysen’s piece Some Kind of Pattern as the first preview from the release. Boysen adds:
“The film in general, and therefore the score, deals a lot with reflecting on needs and the feeling of belonging. Each piece of the score is devoted to one of the many stations our protagonists visit on their journey and ‘Some Kind Of Pattern’ represents an early and careful approach towards their feelings and who they want to be, for themselves and also for each other.“ – Ben Lukas Boysen
