After being premiered on NTS Radio today, you can now watch Penguin Cafe's Arthur Jeffes and Nils Frahm perform Up Is Good, their contribution to our tenth anniversary box set 1+1=X. Arthur will be playing our stage at this year’s Great Escape Festival alongside Douglas Dare, Högni and Hatis Noit this Thursday May 17th at St Mary’s Church in Brighton.

Previously only available as a limited 3LP Record Store Day edition, 1+1=X will be on general release on 2CD/DL for June 29th. 1+1=X is a set of exclusive music from every artist on the label, featuring never before heard tracks from Nils Frahm, Kiasmos, Peter Broderick, A Winged Victory For The Sullen and many more. 1+1=X sees Erased Tapes artists come together to make an album as a collective, sharing the same space, instruments and each others’ capabilities during a residency at Vox-Ton studio in Berlin. The record is produced by label curator Robert Raths.

“As much as Erased Tapes probably wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for the digital age, we should also remind ourselves of what we are capable of without it,” says Raths. “1+1=X is a testament of what can be achieved when we work together as a collective, which is more than the sum of what we can achieve as individuals.”
